Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week | Every other weekend required | No call requirement
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Comprehensive Medical Unit serving a diverse medical-surgical population
- Float as needed between various Med-Surg units including Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and ED/Med-Surg boarder areas
- Monitor and interpret telemetry readings; telemetry competency will be assessed on day one
- Document and manage patient care using Epic EMR with proficiency
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Active RN licensure in the state of Ohio or compact equivalent
- Active BLS certification required
- Current Epic EMR proficiency required — must be independently proficient prior to start; no refresher training or on-site orientation support will be provided
- Minimum 3 years of current and recent Telemetry and/or Stepdown experience required
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret telemetry independently
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working across multiple Med-Surg subspecialty units (Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation)
- Prior travel nursing experience in an acute care setting
