Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every other weekend and holiday rotation | 4x12 schedule also accepted
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry inpatient setting
- Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms, including identification of lethal arrhythmias
- Float to other units as needed based on staffing requirements
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently using EPIC
- Participate in weekend and holiday rotation as scheduled
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license required
- BLS certification required – American Heart Association (AHA) only
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty
- EPIC experience required
- Must pass a Telemetry exam prior to start (passing score of 80% or higher; 100% identification of lethal rhythms required on adult exam; two attempts allowed)
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a Magnet-designated facility
- Familiarity with both adult and pediatric telemetry interpretation
- Experience in a high-acuity academic or teaching hospital environment
