Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights | 3 x 12-hour shifts | Expected 36 hours/week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to ICU-level patients within a specialized overflow area of the Emergency Department
- Assess, monitor, and manage critically ill patients in alignment with ICU standards of care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans and transitions
- Perform and document NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale) assessments as required
- Adapt to a block scheduling model, with shifts currently structured Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
Required Qualifications
- Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license
- NIHSS certification required
- ICU clinical experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Emergency Department (ED) experience in addition to ICU background
- Comfort working in evolving, pilot-program environments with flexible scheduling needs
