Contract (13 Weeks) | Full-Time | Days | 8-Hour Shifts | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide post-anesthesia care and monitoring to patients recovering from surgical and procedural interventions in a PACU setting
- Manage patient assessments, pain management, and recovery progression in accordance with clinical protocols
- Participate in on-call rotation, including approximately one weekend every 6–7 weeks (Friday 3:30 PM through Monday 7:00 AM) and approximately one weeknight every other week (3:30 PM through 7:00 AM the following morning)
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly using Epic electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and timely patient transitions out of the PACU
- Adhere to all facility health and safety policies, including applicable infection control and vaccination compliance requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active Wisconsin RN license or valid Compact RN license
- AHA or ARC BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- PALS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of PACU experience
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Proficiency with Epic charting system
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and adapt well to change in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Strong interpersonal skills with a dependable, compassionate, and positive approach to patient care
