Float Pool RN – Telemetry / Med-Surg
Location

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 36 Hours per Week | Days/Evenings Rotating with 1–3 Night Rotations per Contract | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
- Float between up to 8 different Med/Surg Telemetry units throughout the hospital, including ED border patients, acute mental health (medication nurse role), and non-vented ICU transfer-ready patients
- Perform cardiac monitoring, administer cardiac drips, and read and interpret telemetry strips every 4 hours including measuring intervals
- Provide direct patient care across units ranging from 8 to 41 beds with patient ratios up to 5:1 on Days/Evenings and up to 6:1 on Nights
- Utilize TR Band experience as applicable to patient population
- Document and chart accurately using EPIC EMR
Required Qualifications
- Active Massachusetts RN License
- AHA BLS Certification
- Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital experience in a single location
- Minimum 2 years of experience working as a Travel Nurse
- Ability and willingness to float to 8 different units as assigned
- Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, including interpreting strips and measuring intervals
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 2 or more years of telemetry-specific experience including cardiac drips and tele strip interpretation
- TR Band experience
- Prior experience with EPIC EMR
