Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical (Telemetry Float)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Every other weekend required | Expected 72 hours biweekly (on-call hours not included)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical-Surgical Telemetry float unit during night shift hours
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data, responding appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Float across units as needed to support staffing requirements
- Maintain compliance with ACLS and BLS (AHA) certification standards throughout the assignment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly using Epic EMR
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical or Telemetry nursing experience
- ACLS and BLS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- Proficiency with Epic EMR required
- Ability to work every other weekend as part of the scheduled rotation

- Experience in a float pool or multi-unit nursing environment
- Strong telemetry monitoring and interpretation skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to varying patient populations and unit workflows
