Contract | 36 Hours per Week | Night Shift | Every Other Weekend (EOW) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 65-bed, pod-based Emergency Department serving all patient populations, including a separate pediatric pod and an Acute Mental Health area
- Perform general ED nursing skills including patient assessment, clinical documentation, IV insertion, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point-of-care testing, and splinting
- Maintain a clinician-to-patient ratio of 1:4 in a high-volume environment averaging approximately 230 visits per day
- Document patient care accurately using EPIC ASAP electronic medical records system
- Deliver patient education and apply critical thinking to support safe, effective emergency care
- Float to other areas as needed and rotate to day shifts on a low-frequency basis when requested
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
- Current AHA-certified BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Proficiency with EPIC ASAP or comparable EMR platform
- Demonstrated competency in core ED nursing skills including IV, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, and point-of-care testing
Preferred Experience / Skills
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification
- Experience working in a high-volume, pod-based Emergency Department setting
