Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care within a high-volume Emergency Department, primarily assigned to boarder patients
- Manage a diverse patient population that may include med/surg, stepdown, and ICU-level boarder patients
- Float to acute care units as needed based on facility staffing requirements
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, interventions, and documentation in a fast-paced trauma environment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity and quality of patient care
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similarly sized Level 1 Trauma facility
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification required
- Resume must reflect continuous employment with no unexplained gaps
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a float pool or cross-unit staffing model
- Familiarity with high-acuity boarder patient management across multiple care levels
- Strong adaptability and ability to thrive in an extremely busy emergency environment
