Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the OB unit with a 1:1 patient ratio
- Float to Med/Surg as needed, with an average 1:3 patient ratio; Med/Surg assignments may occur more frequently than OB
- Utilize CPSI and Perigen electronic charting systems
- Occasionally assume Charge Nurse responsibilities as needed
- Maintain required certifications including BLS, ACLS, Fetal Heart Certification, and NRP (all via AHA)
Required Qualifications
- Active Kansas or Multistate RN license required at time of submission
- Previous experience in OB and Med/Surg nursing required
- Previous Critical Access Hospital (CAH) experience required
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required — all must be issued through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Fetal Heart Certification required
- Flu vaccine strongly preferred; religious and medical exemptions are accepted, though mask use during flu season may be required for those who decline
- Local travelers are welcome and accepted at the same rate
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- Familiarity with CPSI and/or Perigen charting systems
