Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 1+ year of specialty experience in cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures.
Details
- Diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab with 1 procedure room
- Daily caseload of 4-6 cases per technologist
- Procedures include RHC, STEMI/PCI, pacemaker insertion, loop recorder placement, balloon pump and Impella insertion, pericardiocentesis, and temporary pacemaker placement
- Occasional support of vascular cases and team support to IR for patient prep
- Uses Philips equipment, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, and PACS
- Charting completed in Epic (Xper/Epic)
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with occasional weeks of 8-hour shifts across 5 days
- On-call required: 5 PM-7 AM Monday-Friday and 7 AM-7 AM Saturday/Sunday
- No floating between units expected, subject to change based on facility need
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of specialty experience in cardiac cath lab/EP procedures
- Current BLS (AHA) required; ACLS preferred
- CCI RCES or CCI RCIS certification accepted (license required if applicable)
- Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures including diagnostic catheterizations, PCI, stent placement, hemodynamic monitoring, and dysrhythmia interpretation
- Experience scrubbing and circulating for cath lab and EP procedures
- Skills in access site prep, sterile field maintenance, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
- Epic charting experience
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include scrubbing, circulating, prepping access sites, stocking supplies, and maintaining isolation precautions/PPE
- Call and holiday coverage required
- Scrubs provided
- Local candidates accepted; candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility qualify for the local rate
- Maximum of 10 RTO days per 13-week contract, with RTO restricted during specific blackout periods
- Previous UCHealth employees must disclose prior employment history for eligibility review
- Candidates on UCHealth's internal do-not-use list within the past two years will not be considered
- Travelers who completed a full year assignment with UCHealth OR must wait at least one year before rebooking
- No blocked scheduling requests permitted
- Completion of facility-specific training modules required within the first week of assignment
