Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 10-room, 19-bed/chair Emergency Department
- Maintain a patient ratio of 4:1, delivering safe and effective emergency nursing care
- Manage and care for patients presenting with trauma, stroke, and chest pain conditions
- Document patient care accurately using the MEDHOST EMR system
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure timely and appropriate patient outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Active RN licensure (must be valid for the state of Texas)
- BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
- ACLS certification (AHA or ARC)
- PALS certification (AHA or ARC)
- TNCC certification (AHA or ARC)
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred
- Experience with trauma, stroke, and chest pain patient populations
- Familiarity with MEDHOST EMR system
