We are seeking an experienced Optometrist for a 240-day locum tenens assignment in Ohio. This role involves working within a rural primary-care optometry setting, managing approximately 18–20 patients per day. The Optometrist will provide a mix of routine eye exams, medical visits, red eye evaluations, and follow-ups, supported by dedicated scribes.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Comprehensive/routine eye exams
- Red eye evaluations
- Follow-up examinations
- Dry eye evaluations and management
- Contact lens examinations/fittings
- Glasses/refraction
- General ocular health evaluations
- Pre- and post-operative eye care
- Glaucoma evaluation and management
- Cataract evaluation
- Cataract post-operative follow-ups
- Other post-operative surgical follow-ups
- Ocular surface/dry eye cases
- Acute red-eye presentations
