JOB REQUIREMENTS- Board: BC required or BE within 3–5 years of residency
- Licenses: Licensed in CA
- DEA: Yes
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
- Experience: Pediatric hospitalist with neonatology experience required; must be proficient in neonatal airway management, intubation, UVC/UAC placement, lumbar puncture, and EKG interpretation
- Other Qualifications: Clean malpractice/NPDB history, no restrictions or terminations; Epic EMR proficiency
Duties & Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive neonatal and pediatric hospitalist coverage, managing NICU patients down to 32 weeks gestation (80% NICU, 20% pediatrics).
- Perform neonatal airway management, including intubation and management of complications.
- Manage neonatal air leak/pneumothorax via needle decompression.
- Insert umbilical venous and arterial catheters (UVC/UAC) in the delivery room and NICU.
- Perform lumbar punctures, interpret EKGs, and provide newborn resuscitations as needed.
