Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM) | Full-Time
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Level III NICU with approximately 190 births per month
- Monitor, assess, and manage the care of critically ill neonatal patients
- Float to Mother/Baby unit for infant care as needed; candidates with couplet care experience may float fully
- Work every other weekend, with the expectation that weekend frequency may increase to meet unit needs
- Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health record system
- Commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience with at least 1 year in NICU specialty
- Required certifications: BCLS, NRP, and PALS
- Must submit all RTO and scheduling requests at time of submission; post-submission requests may not be considered
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at standard rates; candidates within 50 miles may be considered at a local rate
- 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with couplet care (Mother/Baby) is a plus, enabling broader float eligibility
- Familiarity with Epic charting system
- Prior travel nursing experience in a NICU or related neonatal setting
