Contract | Full-Time | Mids (9am or 11am start times) | 72 guaranteed hours biweekly (on-call hours not included)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care in a high-volume operating room environment supporting a broad range of surgical specialties including Gynecology, General, Urology, Robotics, Oncology, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, ENT, Plastic, and Interventional Pulmonology
- Perform scrub and/or circulating duties throughout surgical procedures
- Participate in on-call coverage, including up to 4 call shifts per month with weekend and holiday rotation; short call (2 hours post-shift) once per week; overnight weeknight call (7p–7a)
- Complete orientation during the first week on a day shift schedule (7a–3:30p, 5 days)
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes across all phases of the perioperative experience
Required Qualifications
- Active Massachusetts RN license required at time of submission
- Scrub experience required
- Strong Orthopedic OR experience required, including Total Joints
- Minimum 1–3 years of related OR nursing experience
- Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility — local travelers will not be accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a teaching hospital setting
- Specialty area expertise within the operating room
