Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13 Weeks | Mid Shift (3:00 PM – 3:00 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 22-bed freestanding emergency department with a 1:4 patient ratio
- Perform procedures including IV starts, blood draws, moderate sedations, and splinting
- Operate and monitor equipment such as defibrillators, Hamilton Vents, Welch Allyn devices, and bedside cardiac monitors
- Document patient care using Meditech EMR (transitioning from Meditech Magic to Meditech Expanse)
- Maintain ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications throughout the assignment
- Float to an alternate freestanding emergency department location as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active RN License (Texas or compact)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- TNCC certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- CPI certification required
- Minimum 1 year of emergency department nursing experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ENPC certification
- NRP certification
- Experience in a freestanding emergency department setting
- Strong teamwork orientation and patient experience focus
