Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, effective nursing care in accordance with the South Dakota Nurse Practice Act, facility policies, and professional standards
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team
- Administer medications, fluids, and respiratory treatments as prescribed; recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient status, interventions, and outcomes
- Educate patients and families on medications, treatments, and post-discharge care
- Provide leadership and guidance to assigned staff and support orientation and training of new team members
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of South Dakota, or eligibility for reciprocity
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication abilities and commitment to patient-centered care
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced acute care environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior acute care or hospital nursing experience
- Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols in an inpatient setting
- Experience delegating duties and supporting staff in a team-based care environment
