Contract | Days | 4x10 Hours (6:45 AM – 5:15 PM) | On-Site
Key Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care with a focus on bariatrics, orthopedics, and general surgery cases
- Administer and manage medications using the Pyxis medication system
- Participate in on-call rotation, expected 4–5 call days per month, which may include weekends and holidays (Monday–Friday call hours: 5:00 PM–7:00 AM; weekend and holiday call: 24-hour)
- Float to other units and/or campuses as needed based on census, limited to areas where competencies have been demonstrated and documented
- Complete all required pre-assignment modules and annual compliance requirements within designated timeframes
Required Qualifications
- Active South Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room experience (candidates with 1+ years of recent unit experience will be considered; 2 years preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
- Must live at least 50 miles from the relevant flagship hospital to be eligible; candidates between 50–99.9 miles may be subject to a bill rate reduction
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 2 or more years of Operating Room experience, particularly in bariatrics, orthopedics, and general surgery
- Familiarity with Pyxis medication dispensing systems
- Experience working in a high-volume or multi-specialty surgical environment
