Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Day Shift (7A–7P) | Expected 36 hours/week | Every other weekend required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 22-bed Progressive Care Unit serving adult cardiac populations, including cardiac observation, post cardiac cath lab patients, and cardioversion patients
- Monitor patients via telemetry equipment and respond appropriately to changes in cardiac status
- Maintain a 4:1 patient ratio while delivering safe, high-quality nursing care
- Document patient assessments and care plans accurately using the Paragon EHR system
- Float to other units as required per facility float policy
- Maintain current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications throughout the assignment
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license eligible for practice in North Carolina
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience
- Step-down or ICU experience required
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) minimum required education
- Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with telemetry monitoring and cardiac patient populations
- Familiarity with Paragon EHR system
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills and flexibility in a fast-paced environment
