Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights | 3 x 12-hour shifts | Expected 36 hours/week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit in an acute care setting
- Monitor and assess patients undergoing or recovering from peri-dialysis procedures
- Perform neurological assessments utilizing NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes accurately in accordance with facility protocols
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in good standing
- Minimum 18 months of Medical Surgical nursing experience
- Strong peri-dialysis experience required
- NIHSS certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a high-acuity acute care hospital environment
- Familiarity with stroke protocols and neurological patient populations
