Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights | 3×12-hour shifts | Expected 36 hours/week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a telemetry unit, monitoring cardiac rhythms and responding to changes in patient condition
- Perform IV insertion and PICC line management as part of routine patient care
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using Meditech electronic health records
- Float to other departments and facilities as needed based on a department-monitored rotation schedule
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 18 months of Telemetry nursing experience required
- Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license — must be in hand at time of submission
- BLS certification (AHA) required prior to start
- Proficiency with IV insertion and PICC line management
- Experience with Meditech charting system
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a high-acuity telemetry or cardiac step-down unit
- Comfort with floating to multiple departments or facilities within a health system
