Travel Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Telemetry (Night Shift)

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 22-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit with a maximum patient ratio of 6:1
- Perform standard nursing skills including IV insertion, urinary catheter insertion and maintenance, and central line maintenance
- Administer medications and perform continuous bladder irrigation and nasogastric tube insertion and maintenance
- Accurately document patient care and clinical findings in the EMR system (Meditech)
- Communicate effectively with all members of the care team to ensure safe, patient-centered outcomes
- Float to Med/Surg units as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in good standing
- Minimum 1 year of acute Med/Surg experience within the last year
- Demonstrated ability to manage 4–6 patients simultaneously
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 2+ years of experience caring for neurological patients including CVA, TIA, and altered mental status presentations
- Background in neuro, neuro-surgery, or orthopedics
- Med/Surg Telemetry background
