Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to oncology patients in an acute care setting
- Administer chemotherapy treatments in accordance with facility protocols and Chemotherapy Certification requirements
- Perform IV insertions and manage IV therapy as part of patient treatment plans
- Monitor and assess patient responses to treatment, escalating concerns as appropriate
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support patient safety and positive outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- Chemotherapy Certification required
- Demonstrated IV insertion skills
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in an oncology or hematology/oncology unit
- Familiarity with chemotherapy administration protocols and safety standards
- Experience working in a high-acuity acute care hospital environment
