Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 4-bed Emergency Room with 2 trauma bays, serving a Trauma Level IV, STEMI-receiving, and Stroke-designated facility
- Manage ER holds intermixed within the Emergency Department, including patients in separate psych/seclusion rooms
- Independently read and interpret cardiac monitor strips using Mindray telemetry equipment (no monitor techs on unit)
- Operate and troubleshoot respiratory equipment including vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow devices as required
- Float to Med/Surg and Swing Bed unit as needed
- Maintain required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience
- Previous Med/Surg experience required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Must not have been employed full-time, part-time, or PRN at any facility associated with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity within the past year
Preferred Experience / Skills
- PALS certification preferred
- Experience in a low-volume, critical-access or rural Emergency Department setting
- Familiarity with Mindray telemetry monitoring systems
