Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum phases
- Monitor maternal and fetal status during labor and delivery, identifying and responding to changes in condition
- Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries, supporting the clinical team in a fast-paced birthing environment
- Educate and support patients and families during the postpartum period, including newborn care and breastfeeding guidance
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in accordance with facility protocols
Required Qualifications
- Active Washington State RN license (or compact license eligibility)
- Current BLS certification required
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
- Experience in Labor and Delivery or LDRP nursing
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a combined LDRP unit setting
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and multidisciplinary teams
