Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 12-hour shifts, Day/Evening rotation (7am–7pm, 11am–11pm, or 3pm–3am) | Every other holiday | 2 weekends per schedule period | 36-hour contracts considered; 48 hours preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Adult Emergency Department serving 350–440 patients per day across up to 120 treatment areas
- Maintain a patient ratio of 1:4–5 depending on acuity
- Independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips, including identification of heart blocks; must pass a Telemetry Test (85%+) on Day 1
- Float as needed to Psych ED and Pediatric ED (caring for patients age 15+ unless prior pediatric experience is documented)
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted RN license
- Minimum 1.5 years of recent Level I or II ED experience, or 2+ years of recent Level III/IV ED experience
- Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips and identify heart blocks
- BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS certifications — all must be active and unexpired
- Candidates residing less than 50 miles from the facility will be considered at a local rate
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with EPIC EMR
- Previous travel nursing assignments
- Critical care experience
