Contract | Rotating Days and Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Day: 7:00–19:30 / Night: 19:00–7:30
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit, with potential to float to additional units serving the same patient population
- Perform and interpret ECG rhythm recognition as part of ongoing patient monitoring
- Administer and manage medications safely in accordance with facility protocols
- Participate in rotating holiday coverage, expected to work at least every other holiday
- Complete required orientation assessments, including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate, achieving acceptable scores within the allowed attempts
- Maintain active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications throughout the duration of the contract
Required Qualifications
- Active, permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license in hand at time of submission — no pending licenses accepted
- Minimum of 1 year of permanent employment experience in Medical Surgical/Telemetry or the specialty being applied for
- Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification required
- Active ACLS certification required
- Active NIHSS certification required
- One professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director within the specialty, from an assignment worked within the past 12 months (co-worker references not accepted)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Telemetry and cardiac rhythm interpretation experience
- Experience in a high-volume acute care or academic medical center environment
- Familiarity with medication safety assessment tools and competency-based orientation processes
