Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every other weekend | Every other holiday
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical Neuro unit during night shift hours
- Monitor and assess neurological patients, identifying and responding to changes in condition
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
- Float to an alternate campus location as needed to support staffing requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa or compact state eligibility
- Current BLS certification
- Experience in a Medical Surgical or Neuro nursing setting
- Ability to work night shifts, every other weekend, and every other holiday
- Willingness and ability to float to an alternate campus as needed
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in telemetry monitoring and interpretation
- Experience with neurological patient populations in an acute care environment
