Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a cardiovascular operating room setting throughout the duration of the assignment
- Function as a scrub or circulating nurse during cardiovascular surgical procedures as directed by facility needs
- Adhere to facility scheduling policies, including rotating every other weekend and holidays in rotation with permanent hospital staff
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes during cardiovascular procedures
- Maintain compliance with facility protocols, dress code, and departmental standards throughout the assignment
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in the state of Florida (or compact license eligibility)
- Minimum 1 year of CVOR experience required
- Ability to work a 10-hour day shift schedule (6:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
- Willingness to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital staff
- Current BLS certification required; additional certifications may be required per facility policy
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a high-volume acute care or large hospital environment
- Familiarity with cardiovascular surgical procedures including open-heart and valve surgeries
- Strong ability to adapt quickly to new facility environments and workflows
