PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE- Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
JOB REQUIREMENTS- Board: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or ABOEM)
- Licenses: Active Texas license required; active DEA for the state of application and CSR if needed
- DEA / CDS: Active DEA and CDS required
- Certifications: ATLS and PALS required
- Other Qualifications: IMLC accepted; cross credentialing at multiple facilities
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Provide emergency medical care to patients at a Level II trauma center with high annual volume (49,500 visits).
- Work rotating physician coverage shifts: 6a-4p, 10a-8p, 4p-2a, 8p-6a, with NPPA support from 9a-7p and 4p-2a.
- Collaborate with subspecialties including Cardiology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, OBGYN, and Gastroenterology.
- Maintain active Texas medical license, board certification (ABEM/ABOEM), DEA/CDS, and required certifications (ATLS, PALS).
- Adhere to claims-based malpractice insurance with full tail coverage ($1M/$3M limits) and participate in cross credentialing across multiple Valley Baptist facilities.
