Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care on a combined Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Mother-Baby unit serving approximately 4,000 births per year
- Manage and care for high-risk obstetric patients including those with pre-eclampsia, hypertensive disorders, gestational and insulin-dependent diabetes, preterm labor, multiples, and substance use disorders
- Perform high-risk OB triage assessments, OR circulating duties, and surgical admission and recovery
- Titrate drips including Pitocin and Insulin per provider orders
- Utilize the Centricity Perinatal EFM system for fetal monitoring
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including CNAs, surgical techs, charge nurses, OBHG providers in house 24/7, and NICU advanced practice providers available 24/7
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Washington
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- NRP certification required
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification required
- COVID vaccination required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in high-risk obstetrics, triage, and OR circulating roles
- Experience with surgical admission and recovery in an OB setting
- Familiarity with Centricity Perinatal EFM system
- Experience titrating Pitocin and Insulin drips
