Contract | 12-hour night shifts | Every other weekend | Every other holiday | Expected 36 hours/week
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care in a 38-bed multi-specialty ICU, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients
- Communicate effectively with healthcare team members, patients, and their families
- Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
- Update and manage patient records, entering and interpreting computerized data and information
- Follow guidelines and policies established by the nursing department
- Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects; may be required to float to Med/Surg as needed
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of RN ICU experience in a multi-specialty ICU setting (CCU, SICU, MICU, Neuro, or CT)
- Nursing degree: Diploma or ASN required
- Active Massachusetts RN License required
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Telemetry experience required; must be able to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips (telemetry assessment administered on day one)
- Effective verbal and written communication skills; basic computer proficiency
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will be considered at a local rate
Preferred Experience / Skills
- BSN degree preferred
- Experience across multiple ICU subspecialties (CCU, SICU, MICU, Neuro ICU, CT ICU)
