Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (18:45–07:15) | Expected 36–48 hours/week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a fast-paced Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit serving orthopedic, neuro spine, post-surgical, and general med-surg patient populations
- Manage pain assessment and pain management for orthopedic and spine patients, maintaining close monitoring and timely intervention
- Perform IV starts and telemetry monitoring as core clinical duties
- Float to other med-surg units within the facility as needed to meet staffing and census demands
- Adhere to every-other-weekend requirement; any weekend call-off must be made up on a weekend
- Must pass EKG testing prior to start
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license – NC state or Compact license required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience with orthopedic nursing experience required
- BCLS certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- Proficiency in IV starts and telemetry monitoring
- First-time travelers considered with Epic EMR experience
- Local candidates are welcome; local rate differential applies for candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification
- Charge nurse experience
- Level I Trauma experience
