Contract | Night Shift | 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 10-bed Intensive Care Unit with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Manage a diverse ICU patient population including heart failure, respiratory failure, sepsis, ventilated patients, GI bleeds, strokes, TPA administration, post-codes, pneumonia, and post-surgical complications
- Titrate vasoactive and sedation drips including Propofol, Levophed, Dobutamine, Vasopressin, Fentanyl, Epinephrine, and Diltiazem
- Independently read and interpret cardiac monitor strips using Spacelabs monitoring system (no telemetry techs on unit)
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses, CNA support, hospitalists, telehealth intensivists, and respiratory therapists available 24/7
- Float to Telemetry unit or sister ICU facilities as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 1 year of ICU experience
- Experience titrating critical care drips
- Ability to independently read and interpret cardiac monitor strips
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with ventilator management, High Flow oxygen therapy, and BiPAP
- Familiarity with Spacelabs monitoring systems
- Strong teamwork and communication skills; first-time travelers welcome
