Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Room environment with an average daily census of 105 and approximately 135 visits per day
- Deliver nursing care across a 20-room, 26-bed emergency department
- Float to the Observation Unit to cover ER hold patients as needed
- Work 3 out of every 6 weekends as part of the standard schedule
- Commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
- Maintain valid California RN licensure throughout the duration of the assignment
Required Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered California RN license (compact license must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses are not accepted)
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Room nursing experience
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Must be willing to float to sister facilities nearby the contracted location; refusal to float may result in termination of assignment
- No background check hits or Nursys discrepancies
- 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start (Charge RNs and Leads accepted)
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at the standard rate (candidates within 50 miles may be considered at a reduced rate)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a high-census, fast-paced emergency department setting
- Familiarity with observation unit or ER hold patient care
- Strong adaptability and willingness to support staffing needs across multiple units
