Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an intensive care unit setting, monitoring and managing critically ill patients
- Float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using electronic health record systems
- Participate in weekend coverage as required by the unit schedule
- Complete pre-start orientation modules prior to the beginning of the assignment
- Expect to work some holidays in accordance with unit scheduling needs
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina at time of submission — no pending licenses accepted
- BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- 2 supervisory references required
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 5 years before being eligible to return as a traveler
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with EPIC charting system preferred
- Comfort with floating to various units or affiliate facilities
- Ability to keep time-off requests to a minimum, particularly during the first two weeks of assignment and avoiding full calendar weeks off
