About the Position

We are seeking a Pediatrician for a 120-day assignment in Washington. This role involves predominantly clinic/outpatient work, Monday–Friday, typically 8a - 5p, focusing on pediatric genetics, managing genetic disorders, chromosomal abnormalities, congenital anomalies, developmental delay, inherited disorders, and counseling families.Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide predominantly clinic/outpatient care for pediatric patients.
- Manage a diverse range of pediatric genetics cases.
- Address genetic disorders, chromosomal abnormalities, congenital anomalies, developmental delay/intellectual disability, dysmorphic features, inherited disorders, and abnormal genetic testing.
- Care for patients with inborn errors of metabolism/metabolic disorders.
- Conduct new patient consults and established follow-ups.
- Review and interpret genetic testing results.
- Order appropriate genetic/metabolic testing.
- Establish diagnoses and develop comprehensive treatment and monitoring plans.
- Counsel families regarding complex genetic conditions and implications.

- Setting: Outpatient (Clinic Only)
- Experience: Pediatric genetics and preferable biochemical genetics experience
- Call Schedule: TBD, not required for this role, but may become needed
- Patients per day: 4
- LOA: 120 Days
- Staffing Mix: Multidisciplinary team including genetic counselors, nursing, dietitians/metabolic nutrition, and other pediatric subspecialists
