This role involves delivering coordinated nursing care for patients in an emergency room setting based on established standards of care and the nursing process. It requires supervising and directing various levels of nursing staff, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and utilizing critical thinking and professional judgment to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN); Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendor; 1 year of emergency room experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in an acute care facility.
- Additional Information:
- Collects relevant patient health data and analyzes it for diagnosis and care planning.
- Develops and implements care plans, coordinating care delivery and promoting health and safety.
- Evaluates patient progress and collaborates with families and healthcare team members to ensure continuous care.
- Provides education for patients, families, and team members.
- Participates in discharge planning and delegates duties to healthcare team members as appropriate.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
