Job Summary
Registered Nurse Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Sioux City, Iowa. This position supports the interdisciplinary team in providing and managing care for patients in a post-anesthesia setting. The role includes day shifts, on-call coverage, and collaboration across clinical areas as needed.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: At least 2 years of Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) experience; active Iowa or compact nursing license; active Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications. American Heart Association (AHA) certifications are preferred; American Red Cross or U.S. military certificates are also accepted.
- Schedule: Day shifts of 12 hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. On-call coverage is required every third weekend for either 12 or 24 hours and may include 24 nights per week.
- Additional Information: Patient assignment ratios are 1:2. The role may require rotation to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) as a resource without assuming ICU patient assignments, as well as floating within the same discipline across local campuses. The position requires work on two of the three winter holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, or New Years Day.
