Job Summary
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse (RN) Location: Iowa. This role involves providing specialized critical care to infants, children, and teens within a state-of-the-art Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. The position offers opportunities to float to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Pediatric Emergency Department (ED), and general pediatric units as needed.
Job Details
- Position Description: Responsible for delivering high-quality pediatric critical care, including managing ventilators, high flow oxygen, and advanced infusion pumps in a private-room environment.
- Required Qualifications: Iowa or multistate compact registered nurse license, a minimum of 24 months of current Pediatric Intensive Care experience, certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association, and a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week, starting on 10/26/2026 and ending on 01/25/2027.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with vents, high flow therapy, Alaris IV pumps, feeding pumps, and functional skills in EPIC electronic medical record system.
- Additional Information: Must be willing to float to Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Pediatric Emergency Department when needed. Work includes holiday shifts and potentially minimal on-call responsibilities.
