Job Summary
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit nursing position. The role provides care for critically ill or injured infants, children, and adolescents in a pediatric intensive care setting. The selected candidate must be prepared to float to neonatal intensive care and emergency department patient holds as needed.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Minimum 24 months of current Pediatric Intensive Care Unit experience; active Iowa or compact/multistate nursing license at submission; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA); electronic medical record experience with EPIC; willingness to float to neonatal intensive care and emergency department patient holds.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ventilators, high-flow oxygen, Alaris intravenous pumps, and feeding pumps.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Schedule: Night shifts consisting of 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week; weekend rotation is every fourth weekend.
- Additional Information: The role may include caring for less acute neonatal intensive care patients, including infants receiving oxygen or antibiotics. Available orientation dates are 10/26/2026, 11/09/2026, 11/23/2026, and 12/07/2026, with earlier starts prioritized. The assignment is scheduled from 11/23/2026 through 02/22/2027.
