Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse Location: Not Specified. This role involves providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, Magnet-designated facility. The position requires managing complex clinical situations, including drip titration and IV treatments, with a focus on patient safety and efficient care delivery.
Job Details
- Position Description: The nurse will manage drip titrations such as Heparin and Ketamine, antibiotics, and blood products. Responsibilities include frequent IV treatments and the use of telemetry monitors, with prior telemetry reading experience preferred.
- Required Qualifications: Valid BLS Certification, NIHSS certification, minimum of 1 year of experience, and must hold a license to submit.
- Schedule: Nights shift from 06:45 PM to 07:15 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Orientation involves 2-3 unit-specific shifts during the first week. Candidate must be willing to care for COVID-19 patients. The unit is fast-paced with high turnover, and staff are provided with phones and trackers. Nurses may float to Medical, Medical Oncology, and Telemetry units.
- Certifications Required: BLS Certification, NIHSS.
- Preferred Qualifications: Telemetry reading experience is preferred.
- Other Details: Nurses are expected to work some weekends and holidays, with potential on-call shifts. Overtime opportunities and precepting may be available.
