Job Summary
Pre Op Registered Nurse position in an unspecified location. The role supports admitting, preoperative preparation, and Phase II recovery and discharge within a day surgery unit. The position follows a daytime schedule and may accept first-time travelers.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week. The schedule follows a rotating two-week pattern of Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday and Monday/Tuesday/Thursday, subject to staffing needs. No weekends or call requirements.
- Required Qualifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications; compact license in hand at submission; at least 1 year of experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with admitting and Phase II recovery.
- Clinical Responsibilities and Skills: Perform preoperative assessment and education, medication reconciliation, operative and procedural consent, history and physical review, discharge instruction, and Phase II recovery and discharge. Relevant skills include dysrhythmia recognition and management, conscious sedation, pain assessment and management, monitored anesthesia care (MAC), nerve blocks, preoperative and postoperative procedures, and isolation precautions and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assignment Dates: 11/09/2026 through 02/08/2027.
