Job Summary
The healthcare provider is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) at a short-term acute care facility. The position involves floating across various medical units, including medical, surgical, oncology, neuro, and cardiology, with responsibilities that include monitoring telemetry, managing IV therapy, and providing patient care in a fast-paced environment. The role offers an opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team committed to excellent patient outcomes.
Job Details
- Position: RN MS/Tele Float
- Certifications: BCLS and ACLS required; NIHSS preferred
- Education & Experience: 2 years of RN experience in a related setting, with specific experience in telemetry, IV starts, and cross-unit floating
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Responsibilities: Float across medical units, renal, oncology, and neuro; provide advanced telemetry monitoring; manage IV therapy and wound care; utilize lift devices and bladder scanners; interpret ABGs and dysrhythmias; participate in holiday and weekend rotations including every other weekend or six weekends per 6-week schedule; adhere to unit-specific protocols and cross-training requirements.
- Flexibility: Will float within scope to meet facility needs; may be assigned to different units based on staffing requirements.
- Additional Requirements: Must have an active license (MO, IL license or valid compact license); comply with all agency and facility policies; complete required modules before start date.
- Submission: Candidates must submit documentation demonstrating certifications and license status, and be prepared for compliance and onboarding processes prior to start date.
