- 24-hour call shifts
- 2 - 5 patients per shift; 3 - 8 admissions per shift
- Inpatient pediatric hospitalist role
- Call volume averages 5 phone consults per 24 hours
- Non-invasive ventilation, intubation, central/arterial line placement required
- Conscious sedation, lumbar puncture, chest tube insertion required
- Paracentesis, thoracentesis, circumcision, suturing skills required
- X-ray and EKG interpretation required
- Paid malpractice insurance; pre-paid travel and housing expenses
