Locums Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant in Langhorne, Pennsylvania - Surgical Assist, Ongoing Coverage
Support an adult heart surgery service with hands-on operative responsibilities, inpatient rounding, and ongoing coverage while the team recruits permanently.
Highlights:
- Ongoing assignment
- Temporary privileges available
- Primarily night and weekend coverage
- Level II trauma setting
Practice & Cases:
- 100 percent inpatient cardiothoracic surgery
- Surgical first assist and perioperative patient management
- Chest tube insertion, suture removal, and endoscopic retrieval
- Preoperative exams, rounding, testing, and coordination of care
Schedule:
- Night and weekend call coverage
- Weekday call may also be available
- Weekend responsibilities include patient rounding and subsequent call
- Coverage continues until a permanent clinician is hired
Requirements:
- Must be a Physician Assistant
- Board certification required
- Active Pennsylvania license required
- ACLS and BLS required with at least three years of cardiothoracic surgery experience
Logistics:
- Mileage is covered
- Airfare, lodging, and rental car are not provided
