JOB REQUIREMENTS- Board: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM) or Family Medicine/Internal Medicine (ABMS)
- Licenses: Active VA Medical License and DEA with VA address
- DEA / CDS: Active DEA with schedules 2,2N,3,3N,4,5
- Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, PALS (if not BC in EM), NRP (if non-ABEM)
- Experience: Residency trained in EM, FM, or IM; new graduates acceptable with 3-month proctorship
- Other Qualifications: CME includes Preeclampsia; Case logs for last 2 years required
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients presenting with acute conditions.
- Manage patient volume of approximately 44 patients per day in a 44-bed facility.
- Supervise and collaborate with mid-level providers (NP/PA) during 9-hour overlapping shifts.
- Perform emergency procedures as required, including but not limited to intubation, central line placement, and laceration repair.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic EMR.
