Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for a travel position in a Medical Surgical unit. This role is essential for providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Monitor and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families on health management and wellness strategies.
- Participate in unit and facility initiatives aimed at improving patient care and safety.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- BLS certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
- Experience with Cerner electronic health record system.
- Willing to travel for assignments 50+ miles from permanent residence.
Work Schedule
This position requires working night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, including alternating weekends.
Duration
This assignment is for a period of 13 weeks, with potential for extension based on performance and unit needs.
Location
This position is located in Grandview, AL.
