Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) who is capable of providing care across multiple patient units, including Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) and Emergency Room (ER). This position requires a dedicated professional who can adapt to a variety of situations and patient needs.
Shift Details
- Shift Timing: 5 AM - 5 PM
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours
- Weekends: Required rotation (every 3rd weekend)
Patient Care Environment
This is a critical care access facility with a small average inpatient census typically between 3-5 patients, occasionally increasing to 7-8 patients. Staffing generally includes 3 nurses and 1 CNA on each shift, though there are instances where 2 nurses and 1 aide may be scheduled. Nurses will divide patient care responsibilities as needed, with the expectation that ER and inpatient care will be shared among the team.
Essential Qualifications
- Must have documented experience in both Emergency Room (ER) and Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) nursing.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and TNCC certifications are required.
- Certifications must be obtained through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Must provide proof of current certifications or evidence of enrollment in upcoming classes before starting the position.
Workplace Safety and Requirements
During flu season, staff who decline the flu vaccine are required to wear a mask while on duty. Adherence to safety protocols is essential to support a safe working environment.

Technology and Systems
The facility utilizes Cerner as the electronic medical record (EMR) system, and familiarity with this system is advantageous.
