Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) Location: Not Specified. This role involves providing specialized critical care to patients with neuro diagnoses, both surgical and medical, in a teaching hospital setting. The position requires coordination of patient care during night shifts with a focus on supporting a culture of education and teamwork.
Job Details
- Position Description: Neuro ICU RN for 12-hour Night Shifts (7 PM 7 AM). Prior travel experience is required for all Central positions. Charge responsibility may be required, and the RN will receive relevant training and pay differential.
- Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications, COVID / FLU vaccination or declination. Minimum 2-3 years of clinical experience with teaching hospital experience preferred.
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Positions involve encountering patients with neuro diagnoses, utilizing medical devices such as vital signs machines, glucometers, SCDs, bladder scanners, vein finders, remote tele capabilities, wound vacuums, IV pumps, pulse oximeters, chest tubes, tube feeding pumps, and oxygen delivery devices. All required travel authorization must be submitted and approved prior to acceptance. This position is at a teaching hospital where work with students and new hires is expected, and travel staff are limited to no local candidates within 60 miles.
